More than I can stand...
♥
Sunday, November 18, 2012@6:31 AM
Sometimes, I just want to share some friggin song and lyrics just the way I post a song a day to express myself during my Teentalk addiction days back in 2008. (And yes, I did a thread back-read just to realize I've been on that phase)
So here's a song from the book I just finished reading (or re-reading, I guess. Cos I may not like other Levithan books and Cohn books like how I speed read The Steps and Two Steps Forward but I'll never ever do that with a Levithan and Cohn book. Like, Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist. Never. I will never do that to the bass god and the music freak. Ever. Or even Naomi and Ely.)
Always Wanting You
Merle Haggard
Always wanting you, but never having you,
Makes it hard to face tomorrow 'cause I Know I'll wake up wanting you again. Always loving you, but never touching you, Sometimes hurts me almost more than I can stand. I'd been better off if I'd turned away and never Looked at you the second time. 'Cause I really had my life all together till your eyes met mine. And there I saw a yearning and a feeling 'cross The room that you felt for me. Wish I'd had a way of knowing that the things we had in Mind could never be. Always wanting you, but never having you, Makes it hard to face tomorrow 'cause I Know I'll wake up wanting you again. Always loving you, but never touching you, Sometimes hurts me almost more than I can stand. Always wanting you, but never having you, Sometimes hurts me almost more than I can stand. Then, my guess is that you've played GTA San Andreas, cos that's where I heard it first too -- the KRose Station. Comments 0 Happy KathNiel Day! ♥ Friday, October 26, 2012@4:06 AM
I'm not the biggest fan but I like these two.
They look so cute on screen. So, here's Daniel's latest interview on the real score between him and Kathryn. Labels: cute, daniel padilla, kathniel, kathryn bernardo, love, loveteam, random, video Comments 1 I am a sucker for romance ♥ Monday, October 8, 2012@3:11 AM
I have a penchant for romance. My movie collection ranges from Sharon and Gabby movies to contemporary chick flicks to classic love stories like Casa Blanca and Roman Holiday. I devour Meg Cabot novels, religiously read Jane Austen's classic every October and unfailingly adore love teams.
I am a proud sucker for all this hopeless romantic bullsh*t.
It all follows the same formula, though: Boy meets Girl, they fall in love.
But to our entertainment, they won't end up together until the credits, the last season or the last page. Even fairytales don't end up with happily ever after right away. And that folks, is the reason why romantic stories are interesting to me. How the writers (or anyone in-charge of the storyline) will make me believe that the protagonists really love/d each other.
The quintessential third wheel. Someone much better than the boy or girl to make us realize that love is definitely more than wealth and beauty, to make us believe that love is not all about perfection, but you have to be the perfect fit; or someone worse, most times, they are so wicked that they make us root for the lead from end to finish, perhaps to make us comprehend that love may and will hurt but against all trials and tribulations, it will definitely prevail. (Well, because three is a crowd and for me, never a magic number to end a story with. Even Vicky Cristina Barcelona didn't end with a threesome!) The never ending conflicts. Social status. Families. Financial Problems. Magic, even! We all know the drill: No conflict = No story. The one sweet kiss. The eye contact, the zooming in lenses, dolly-tracked cameras. After the rain pour down, after a long run in the beach or the Prom King and Queen coronation, even the big game. You've seen it too many times. All of us romantics, have been programmed to believe, yearn and wait for 'the one' because the boy and the girl who met and fell in love always end up together... (not just forever, but at least they do. Blame those MALE romance novelists, yes, I'm talking to you Nicholas Sparks, and yes, you David Nicholls... and maybe Emerick Domingo and Dennis Garcia in the near future, I really hope not!) But as I said earlier... the story must defend itself. The writers should make us BELIEVE. Yes, this is yet again about a certain guy. I'm writing and blogging again because of him.
I can still remember my very first blog post, it also is about this chap. That one guy whom I caught looking at me in the first day of school and kept on smiling at me the days after. Everyone who knows me well can tell that he's my type - chink-eyed, rugged and musically-inclined. It was a nice feeling, seeing him flash that sweet smile at me every time I glance his way. He was so cute. I just can't help but to always want to see him. Things went according to my plans or dreams in this case, well, my professors were a big help -- they put us together in a team, giving me an excuse to message him nonstop about.. school. We became very close, so close I fell for him without noticing I did. We started calling each other soulmates because of a reason I cannot now fathom, perhaps I just forgot because I would never call anyone or pertain to someone as my soulmate if he really wasn't. I guess, we just really had too many things in common, like our love for music and passion for equality, our family dilemmas, and the way we felt that very day... the first day I saw him, that day that he was looking straight at me. What I just remember is that back then, (which was around six years ago) I felt a deep sense of happiness and ease when I'm with him, albeit we always arrive late on our classes because we always manage to roam around the school premises during breaks. He was that particular guy I can totally ditch class with and never regret because we'd end up laughing and talking about anything interesting, anyway (I'm a goody-two-shoes back then, I may always be tardy but I'll never cut class on purpose). And believe me, I'd rather go for a walk with him than go to History and Algebra class (my favorite courses back in College) like how Jessica Mastriani always dreams of hopping unto Rob Wilkins' Indian. Then, I learned he already had a girlfriend. (You might think I'm an idiot for not asking him in the first place, believe me, I remember I did but he'd always dodge the query and tell me that he doesn't want to talk about his lovelife, yes, I'm an idiot, I should've taken that as a hint, but hey, I was still juvenile back then) I discovered because we've accidentally taken each other's phone home (yes, we have matching phones, because back then the phone we both are using is the 'in' thing. More like, 2000-and-late's iPhone. No, I'm not talking about Nokia 5110 here. I'm way younger, I had that phone when I was in fourth grade! It was a colored polyphonic and MMS capable phone). Dang. One big heartache. He was a jerk and I believed him. Things aren't really going according to my plans. I didn't dream too hard. And the rest as everyone say is history. (which is funny because it happened in history class) We're still friends, though. After months of hurting each other in two of our classmates' expense whom we had rebound relationships with, we still became friends. Not best of friends but at least, civil enough for the both of us to send random text messages once in a while and crack jokes or poke fun at each other every time we meet. Come to think about it, I regret nothing. And seriously, I believe that our tiny love story ended the way it should be, not too tragic, not too cheesy - just right. One short love story. Hundreds of lesson learned. Thousands of memories. And now, I'm closing this chapter of my life like the way we started... by glancing back. I rarely, if not, never repost. Just because, this is a blog and not Tumblr, but this article is so nice I badly want to share it. It is written by Ryan O'Connell posted on the Thought Catalog
You will fall in love with someone who annoys you, whose orgasm face looks and feels pathetic. Despite all of this, there’s something keeping you drawn to them, something that makes you want to protect them from the harsh world. What you fail to realize, however, is that you are the harsh world. You aren’t their noble protector — you are someone to be protected from but it takes a lot of dates, a lot of nights where you question whether or not you are actually a good person, for this to ever resonate with you. When it’s over and whatever love is left is put back in the fridge like a sad plate of leftovers, you will finally understand that you have the power to hurt someone. You can either hurt them or love them and it’s up to you to decide what kind of role you would like to take on in future relationships. What feels more comfortable — being the one who loves more or being the one who’s loved less? You will fall in love with someone who’s cold and always seemingly pushing you away. When all is said and done, they will be forever known as the one person you couldn’t get to love you. Unfortunately, it will hurt and sting worse than the good ones, the ones that chopped up your meat for you and picked out an eyelash from your eye and were nice to your mother, because love often feels like a game we need to win. And when we lose, when we realize we couldn’t get what we ultimately desired from a person, it makes us feel like a failure and erases all the memories of those who loved us in the past. It’s a permanent smudge on your love resume. You will fall in love with someone for one night and one night only. They’ll come to you when you need them and be gone in the morning when you don’t. At first, this will make you feel empty and you’ll try to convince yourself that you could’ve loved this person for longer than a night, but you can’t. Some people are just meant to make cameo appearances, some are destined to be a pithy footnote. That’s okay though. Not every person we love has to stick around. Sometimes it’s better to leave while you’re still ahead. Sometimes it’s better to leave before you get unloved. You will fall in love with the old couple down the street because to you they represent the impossible: a stable, long-lasting love. You’re trying to get someone to like you for more than ten minutes. A monogamous “never get sick of ya” love seems unfathomable. “What’s your secret, sir? Do you just say yes a lot?” You will fall in love with smells, the good and the bad kind. You will want to wear your lovers shirt because it makes you feel close to them and you’re okay with being that PYSCHO who is legitimately sniffing their shirt in public. You will fall in love with sweat, certain perfumes, the smell of the season in which you fell in love. This particular love smells like fall. It smells like Halloween and a roaring fire and leaves and fog and mist and candy and food and family and whiskey and sex and the lint that collects on sweaters. When it ends, if it ends, you will never experience another fall without thinking of him, her, it. The memories will stick to the ground like a mound of leaves and will only dissipate when the weather drops. You will fall in love with your friends. Deep, passionate love. You will create a second family with them, a kind of tribe that makes you feel less vulnerable. Sometimes our families can’t love us all the time. Sometimes we’re born into families who don’t know how to love us properly. They do as much as they can but the rest is up to our friends. They can love you all the time, without judgement. At least the good ones can. This is where I’m supposed to tell you that you will fall in love with The One, a person who isn’t too cold or too nice. Their “O” face is perfectly fine and they’re not afraid to show how much they love you. This person is supposed to wait for us at the end of the twentysomething road as some kind of reward for all the heartache and loneliness. We deserve them. We’ve earned this kind of love. So fine. You’re going to fall in love with The One. You’re going to fall in love with someone who will make sense beyond college or a job or a particular season. They’ll make sense forever and won’t ever want to leave you behind. I’m telling you this not because it’s true but because it NEEDS to be true. Everyone is entitled to this kind of love, so why not? Have it. It’s yours. Blow out the candles on your 30th birthday, holding their hand, and let out an exhale that’s been waiting for ten years. Do it. Now. Square Off Season Five is done and that would mean a lot of free time for me. Less work (and yes, money), though. But it's all good now that we are currently working on Season Six and I have ample time for the books I bought six months ago and the seven books I just bought last week. (Yes, book stores especially book sales are my weakness I tend to buy even if I have to sacrifice a day's meal -- ohh, that would be a good diet! Haha)
I found this title at Pick-a-Book (a kiosk in ELJ) and it's priced below a hundred so I immediately put it in the counter along with other books I liked.
It looks fun and is something that I would really like to read (and was small, not too thick and with 11px font!) so it was the first thing I read last Friday and finished it right away.
I won't give you a full review but because I'm kind, I will list down the 59 things we should not do while we are looking for happily ever after according to veteran advice columnist, Carolyn Hax.
For further explanations and other advice, I guess you have to buy the book yourself or... maybe, I'd be kind enough to lend it to you. :)
I promise you won't go back to me and complain because you wasted 50 minutes (yes, that's how long it took me to finish the book) of your life.
You choose your clothes and your attitude and the paths you'll travel - but you have little say in the paths you cross. So why even try? Why not travel your path for your reasons? You'll have a general sense of where it will lead, which means you'll have the satisfaction of moving your life in a direction of your choosing - and you'll have that satisfaction regardless of what else you pick up (or not) along the way. If you happen to run into love and friendship, all the better. And the thing is, you probably will.

I was busy these past few days with lots of things cluttering up my mind. Haha! I can't really think of things to write on my blog so I just left it undated which kind of depressed me. I love to write but why can't I think of something to write? HAHAHA! Whatever.
Tomorrow, I mean later is gonna be our deadline, (we actually call it LIFELINE in our school paper cz, kidding aside, we want it to be alive.. not dead. HAHAHA!) and I'm done with my Editor's note, just that cz the other things won't be done until later cz the interviews are scheduled tomorrow, rather later. HAHAHA! I just can't help but feel ECSTATIC about this issue. This is something really new to us. We finally are stepping out of our boxes. Gyera na talaga ito. I can feel the tension even just now. I could only imagine what will happen after it is published. I definitely know you can't understand me, let me explain. So, there's an on-going secret-not-so-secret-slash-plastikan-war happening between our org, the school paper and our neighbor, the student council. We, perhaps have different points-of-view on things and now, we are finally tackling what we know on the paper, objectively. So, talk about an all out war, right? Haha! I don't know what to feel! I'm full of emotions. Haha! Plus the fact that in two days, it will be the 25th of the month. ♥ Gaaah. I don't know if you understood me. I drank lots of coffee. High na high ako ngayon. I I hate to see you smiling cz it feels like dying. I hate to see your face it reminds me of our days. And oh i hate to see you laughing, while I'm here.. All alone and crying. CHORUS Oh oh why did you have to leave me? Oh no.. Without even saying bye and sorry. Oh oh why you left me broken oh no, without notice or a farewell even? II Did you really love me? Then why you wanted to be free? Did you feel the spark when we held hands in the park? And oh did you feel the magic? When your lips touched mine or was it all a trick? I just can't believe that I actually read all of it even if I'm oh-so sluggish at this point. It's totally SWEET. :)Read on... We don't care if you're friends with other guys. But when you're sitting next to us, and some random guy walks into the room and you jump up and tackle him, without even introducing us, yeah, it pisses us off. It doesn't help if you sit there and talk to him for ten minutes without even acknowledging the fact that we're still there. We don't care if a guy calls OR TEXTS you, but at 2 in the morning we do get a little concerned. Nothing is that important at 2 a.m. that it can't wait till the morning. Also, when we tell you you're pretty/ beautiful/ gorgeous/ cute/ stunning, we freaking mean it. Don't tell us we're wrong. We'll stop trying to convince you.
