I'm a bookworm

Never had I imagined that I'd be able to say aloud that I'm a bibliophile. Simply because... I used to be such a lazy reader, been engrossed in my writing (for the campus paper) that I sew myself shut and steered away from book stores. Perhaps, because I've always been so broke as well. Or... maybe, just maybe because I've always want to project myself as someone so slick and cool that I try to mask my inner addiction, sniffing books.

That is why back in 2009, when the only purpose of Facebook tagging is to tag your friends in photos like this:
A friend of mine, Sarah, tagged me as the "bookworm" and I ended up contesting it, because I am not a bookworm. But these friends know me from inside out because we practically grew up together, having been classmates since Junior Casa. They know how I loved the library back then, how the student assistants hated me for always borrowing books, how the librarian issued me almost four library cards every year because I always use up the columns provided. For a 10 year old, I really was aiming for a Matilda, am I not? Haha.
So, I don't know why and how I lost the interest in books, it just happened, I had this way too long reading slump then I just stopped. I didn't even read comics, even Kiko Machine albeit my friends back then are shoving it up my butt. But whatever happened to me back then is... history, I'm now glad that I'm back to my Matilda-like self (still sans the psychokinetic powers though). ♥
