Dumbfounded, she was forced to face up to the fact that she was a lone voice in the wilderness. It left her under no illusion, stripped away all the pretenses she was managing. It hammered the message home - people can be cruel. She is resilient. She is strong and tough but she suddenly bursted into tears, disregarding that one lesson ingrained into her memory that one must not cry over spilled milk. But no dairy was wasted after all, now that the truth has materialized and elucidated her psyche. Indeed, people will always tell you what you did wrong, but will hesitate to compliment you for what you did right.
