I was currently enrolled on a Marketing Communications Class when Manny Villar's "PETIKS" ad rolled on almost every show there is on Philippine TV. It was undoubtedly a HIT. I honestly downloaded the full version of the song, registered on the Akala Mo website and even included the idea of having LSS with the jingle on my last Editor's note. Haha. Villar definitely had my vote just because of one song. Not just mine. But even other youth who suddenly have been hypnotized by a melody which original version didn't even reach the top of the hit charts.I was enthralled by the very idea. "So this is effective marketing communication,", I said to myself and it somehow helped me in acing the subject. :)
After long months, eto na naman ang bagong nakaka-LSS na kanta ni Manny Villar, with the line.. "Nakaligo ka na ba sa dagat ng basura?"
Hay nako. If not for the aftermath of Cory's death that Noynoy decided to ran as our nation's President, Villar's jingle will pave his way to the position he desires.
